“Bravo” star jerry harris is expected to spend 15 years behind bars for his child pornography case…at least according to federal prosecutors.
In legal documents, obtained by TMZ, the U.S. Attorney’s Office is recommending that sentence when the judge hands down Harris’s sentence next week.
As we reported, the ‘Cheer’ star faces a maximum of 50 years behind bars after To plead guilty to a child pornography reception leader and a trip leader with the intent to engage in illicit sexual activity.
Prosecutors called Harris’ actions horrific, but noted that his difficult childhood also factored into their recommendation for a somewhat lenient sentence of 15 years.
They also demanded that he be granted 10 years of probation upon his release from prison.
Meanwhile, Jerry’s legal team tries to convince the judge to give him an even lighter sentence of 6 years in prison and 8 years of probation.
You’ll recall, Harris — a star of the popular Netflix series — had suffered a 2019 FBI investigation for soliciting sex from minors in cheering contests and coercing teenagers to submit inappropriate photos.
His sentencing is scheduled for June 28.
