The parents, Candice and Haroldsay they weren’t aware of the controversy swirling right now over costumed characters in other locations allegedly snubbed black children. They simply posted a video because they were happy that their daughter, Hayynreceived a hug from his favorite Disney character.

Parents say Hayyn would have been happy to have a wave from Jessie – and it was a huge bonus when Woody reported Jessie hug the little girl.
Hayyn was waiting for Jessie throughout the show… even wearing a Jessie dress, while holding Jessie and Woody dolls.
Of course, after posting their video, they learned of the allegations at Sesame Place and Chuck E. Cheese, and Harold and Candice say everyone’s kid deserves at least some kind of recognition — even if he doesn’t. it’s just a wave or a blown kiss from their favorite character.

As noted, there is now a class action filed against Sesame Place in Philadelphia.
There’s no doubt that this case helped fuel online interest in Hayyn’s Disney World hug — a prime example of how these interactions should ideally play out…for all kids.
