Ex-Temptations Singer Bruce Williamson Jr.’s Funeral Plans Include Otis Williams
Funeral plans underway for the ex-lead singer of Temptations Bruce Williamson Jr. … and TMZ has learned that the event will include the last surviving original member of the legendary group.
A source close to the family told TMZ … Bruce’s family plan to hold the funeral in Las Vegas on September 26. We’re told the exact details are still in the works, but here’s what we know – Founder of Temptations Otis williams will be present … just like the current member Ron Tyson and other former singers with the group.
Our sources say longtime friend Bubba knight – The brother of Gladys Knight and one of the Pips – will also be there. Funerals will be small and will have an exclusive list by invitation only. It will also be largely limited to family and close friends due to Nevada’s COVID-19 restrictions.
Fans who wish to attend the funeral will be able to do so as we are told it will be broadcast live. But, on September 25, a day before the funeral, there will be a public visit to the Giddens Memorial Chapel where fans can pay their respects. Public viewing – which will adhere to social distancing guidelines and a mask warrant – will begin at 4 p.m. PT.
Our source also says they’re also having a Vegas tribute concert gala … which will be announced once they set a date.
TMZ broke history … Bruce passed away earlier this month after complications with COVID-19. He was the lead singer of the Temptations from 2006 to 2015.
Our sincere thanks to
