Former NFL player Zac Stacy was arrested in Florida and is currently in jail … just days after brutally beating his ex-girlfriend in front of their 5 month old son, TMZ Sports has learned.
We broke the story … Stacy, 30, repeatedly punched her baby boy’s mother Kristin Evans in the head before lifting her up and throwing her into a TV – while begging him to stop and the baby cried.
When Stacy – a 2013 5th round draft pick by Vanderbilt – finally stopped attacking, he fled the scene. Evans called 911 and the cops say they got there in under 2 minutes, but the running back was long gone.
Officials on Thursday announced they are indicting Evans with 2 felonies… aggravated assault and criminal mischief.
Authorities believed Stacy had left Florida… where the incident happened on Saturday afternoon. Still, they were concerned enough for Evans’ safety to move her to an “undisclosed location.”
Stacy is currently in jail in Orange County (FL). Orlando PD is listed as the arresting agency, according to jail records.
If found guilty, Stacy could face more than 15 years in prison.
