Eric Clapton puts his anti-vaccine feelings to song – the guy just released a song about resisting vaccines and COVID restrictions… and it’s surreal.
The legendary rocker and guitarist made his debut on Friday with his new track, “This Has Gotta Stop” … which at first sounds like a social justice protest song – based on lyrics and visuals. But, when you read between the lines and read EC’s recent COVID remarks … it’s clear what he’s talking about.
The chorus says: “It must stop, that’s enough // I can’t stand this BS anymore // It’s gone far enough, you want to claim my soul // You will have to come and break down that door.” His first speeches on knowing that something was wrong when the proverbial man started imposing the law… which Eric said made him fearful and sweaty.
He goes on to explain what he thinks this future (COVID mandates, vaccine requirements, etc.) will mean for his children later on. There is also a lot of animation of people being controlled by strings and hypnotized… so what he thinks is clear.
Of course, that’s no surprise … Eric made his feelings known about a month ago when he announced that he would not perform in places where vaccines are mandatory … compare it to a “discriminated public (s)”. Even before that, he’s been pushing anti-vaccine rhetoric pretty much throughout the pandemic – so, now it looks like he’s channeling that into music.
The response online has been rude … people are ridicule his latest offer, and swears his music in general on his stance.
