Eagles Fan Organizes Massive Drive-In Tailgate Party for Opening Day
They are not allowed in the stadium, but Eagles fans have found a new way to tailgate for opening day … thanks to a super fan with a giant drive-in cinema !!!
The Eagles are set to kick off the 2020 season on September 13 against the Washington football team … but due to COVID, no fans are allowed to attend the game.
Luckily the Eagles maniac Rocco gallelli happens to own a drive-in about 20 minutes from Lincoln Financial Stadium and he turns it into a central hatchback.
The spot has a giant 12-meter video screen – and can hold up to 150 vehicles … where families can watch the game as a group, while social distancing at the same time.
Gallelli tells TMZ Sports … he charges $ 40 per car to enter and fans can either bring their own food and drink to consume – or order from a food stall on site.
We’re told the goal is to simulate a real Eagles hatchback in a safe, party atmosphere … so they even bring in a DJ to stream music before the game starts.
Gallelli says the place will have disinfection stations and masks available to adhere to COVID health rules.
And, if the first game is a success, he plans to host drive-thru hatchbacks every week of the NFL season.
As we’ve previously reported, fans of other NFL teams across the country are also looking for creative ways to watch games together without risking their lives.
In Buffalo, the fans are have a tailgate “bubble” – where Bills Mafia can break tables and start the fire while minimizing possible exposure to COVID.
Our sincere thanks to
