dog the bounty hunter receives a wealth of advice on the disappearance of a 16-year-old Kiely Rodni — the girl who disappeared near the Lake Tahoe area earlier this month — but he’s reluctant to do anything right now because of the blowback he’s had in the Gabby Petito murder investigation.
Dog’s rep tells TMZ that some of the tipsters offer vague hints — something he’s used over the years to possibly develop strong leads — and he also received a slew of emails from people who simply wanted him to step in because of his track record in finding missing people.
Here is the problem. When the cops set their sights on Brian Laundrythe man who murdered Gabby, Dog was on his honeymoon near the Florida home where Brian’s sister lived, and he decided to intervene and help. Dog’s video knock on sister’s door made the rounds and was heavily criticized…some claiming he was meddling in a police investigation.
It’s kind of the case, Dog thinks, that no good deed goes unpunished. His rep says the way he operates… he won’t get involved in the missing person investigation unless one of 2 things happens – either he’s invited by a family member or the forces of the order to get involved, ie 21 days have passed since the person was declared missing.
Dog the bounty hunter wades through the swampy waters in search of Brian Laundrie
The reason for 21 days…Dog says that’s when missing person cases usually get cold.
So Dog is now waiting…waiting for an invite or for 3 weeks to pass. He’s also waiting for solid clues as to where Kiely might be.
Kiely was last seen leaving a high school graduation party near Prosser Lake Reservoir in Nevada County, Calif., in early August…about 200-300 people were at the same event…but l teenager remains missing.
