daredevil Alex harville – a famous motorcycle stuntman – died Thursday after crashing during an attempted world record jump.
He was only 28 years old.
The scene was absolutely horrible… Harvill was trying to kick his bike off a 351 foot ramp at the Moses Lake Airshow in Washington – when it ran out and crashed into a mound of dirt.
Harvill was thrown over his handlebars and tumbled dozens of yards before finally coming to a stop.
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Harvill later died from injuries he sustained in the crash.
The sheriff’s office added that Harvill’s family had been notified … and said an autopsy would be performed on Friday to determine the cause and manner of his death.
“Our deepest condolences go out to Alex’s family, friends and loved ones,” the sheriff’s office said.

The Airshow, meanwhile, had pledged to donate all profits from the Harvill jump on Thursday to help pay his medical bills.
Harvill – which has just hosted its second baby in the world last month – was a very experienced stuntman… he had already set a world record in 2013 when he jumped from one dirt ramp to another at 297 feet.
