Daniel Craig would have been the No. 1 choice to play Mister Fantastic in the new ‘Dr. Strange movie, this one about the eventual chosen one in Jean Krasinski …also, spoiler alert ahead.
The news comes from the Deadline reporter Justin Krollwho wrote… “Fun fact Krasinski wasn’t the first choice, the actor originally slated to play the part was set to shoot but when there was a spike in COVID cases he backed off as he was living in London and I didn’t think the quick shoot wasn’t worth the risk of bringing COVID back to the family.”

He was responding to a story about Elizabeth Olsen saying she had never met John Krasinski during an interview with Vanity Fair – à la Keke Palmerof the moment “I don’t know this man”.
Either way, Kroll followed to battle conspiracy theorists who noted that Craig filmed “Knives Out 2” around the same time, wondering why he’d be willing to film one and not the other.
For those asking why he was able to shoot KNIVES, it was months of filming and if he caught COVID he would be the only one infected. STRANGE was maybe on a shooting day and the worry was that he might come home and not know he had it and give it to his daughter who was 2 at the time

To that, Matt says, “For those asking why he was able to shoot KNIVES, it was months of filming and if he had COVID he would be the only one infected. STRANGE was maybe a day of filming and worried he might run home without knowing he had it and gave it to his daughter who was 2 at the time.”
Of course, some question the legitimacy of this theory – especially amid other reports that cast Craig as another potential Marvel hero other than Mister Fantastic – and the reason is… he looks nothing like Reed Richards. , while Krasinski is a doppelganger.
Craig was originally supposed to be Balder The Brave who was part of the illuminati. He was persuaded to kill himself by Wanda. He couldn’t shoot the scenes though, and in the reshoots they replaced him with Krasinski.

Some claim, yes, Dan was actually considered for the film – but that he was going to play Balder the Brave – Thor’s half-brother – which makes a lot more sense… ie blond.
In any case, the idea that James Bond himself might just appear in the MCU – even at this point – is pretty crazy… but not totally far-fetched. With all these multiverse leaps they’re doing lately in superhero movies in general, anything (and anyone) is possible, it seems.
