Colin Kaepernick Collector Auctions Rare Card, Splits Profits with QB’s Charity
You are looking at an autographed ultra-rare Colin Kaepernick Rookie card featuring a piece of jersey used by the game.
It’s awesome. It is precious. And, the only reason the owner is parting ways is because he wants to fundraise for QB’s “Know Your Rights Camp”.
The story behind the card is great … the owner tells us he started buying CK items in 2016 when collectors thought Colin’s kneeling protest would drop his collection value.
Among his purchases, the guy bought a Topps Platinum Rookie Patch 2011 Autograph Red Refractor card with Colin … a 1 in 1 card.
He bought the card for just under $ 1,800 – but experts tell us the card could now sell for around $ 25,000 … maybe more!
The owner brought the card to Goldin auctions with the caveat that half of the profits earned would go to Colin’s “Know Your Rights Camp”.
In case you were wondering, Colin’s KYRC says its mission is to “advance the liberation and well-being of black and brown communities through education, empowerment, mass mobilization and creation. new systems that elevate the next generation of change. leaders. “
We are told that the camp is thrilled with the auction and appreciates the upcoming donation.
The auction – which already has a bid of $ 1,000 – ends later this month.
Our sincere thanks to
