The good folks at M&M Mars have a real chocolate disaster on their hands… 2 people got trapped in a chocolate factory vat – not on purpose, we think – and required a “jaws of life” type rescue.
What looks like a scene straight out of “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” unfolded Thursday at an M&M Mars factory in Lancaster County … not too far from Hershey, Pennsylvania.
It is not yet known how the 2 people fell into the tank, but the authorities should have drilled a hole in the side of the tank to get them out.
The first victim was reportedly rescued around 3:10 p.m., and the second was cleared about 15 minutes later. It is not yet known whether the tank was full to the brim or empty when the victims fell.
And, yes… they are still victims, even if they were maybe swimming in chocolate.
No word on the condition of either person at this time, but according to reports, they were alive when cops pulled them out.
The factory is known for producing a variety of sugary sweet products…including M&Ms and Dove chocolate.
