A Michigan guy figured that a prosthetic face mask that made him look super old would allow him to steal a fortune at several casinos, with the help of fake driver’s licenses and other personal information from elderly victims.
John colletti, who is 55, must have looked much older, and the prosthetic face mask did the trick, but for safety reasons he wore hats, goggles and even surgical masks. He went to MGM Grand Casinos last year in Michigan and Kansas and pulled a fortune from self-serve kiosks … this according to the federal complaint.
The federal government says at least 10 people were victimized and Colletti stole more than $ 100,000.
The FBI solved the case using a search warrant, and they found plenty of them, including 4 prosthetic masks, USB drives, counterfeit money, and books on how to commit a crime without get caught.
Colletti is currently being held in Kansas. Authorities want him to return to Michigan to face charges.
