Carole baskin still fights to have the footage of herself removed from “Tiger King 2” and tells us how the show’s producers allegedly made shady moves to trick her.
We spoke to the Big Cat Rescue owner herself just a day before Netflix launched its sequel to the hit series … and Carole gave us the behind-the-scenes information that she said led her to sue. legal action against preventing his image and likeness from being included in ‘TK 2’.
For starters, Carole told us on Tuesday’s “TMZ Live” that she’s NOT trying to stop Netflix from releasing a second installment – she just wants any connection to her removed from the final product.
As to why she wants to leave the project? Well Carole says she hated the “Tiger King” OG as well… and she alleges that the producers presented it to her as if this was going to be a “Blackfish” style talk about animal abuse. She even claims that they even showed her a first promo cut which was exactly that.
As you now know … “Tiger King” ended up playing like an anti-hero tale, with Exotic Joe as the heroic protagonist and Carole as the archenemy of the “villain”.
This is Carole’s biggest gripe – what she calls the blatant misrepresentation of her and her mission … something she tells us still haunts her to this day in the form of harassment and threats from fans. enraged.
She also touched on what Jeff and Lauren Lowe told us on Monday – namely, that they are preparing to prosecute Carole for allegedly warning federal authorities of violations at her now closed Tiger King park.
Carole says that Jeff’s fury is misplaced and that everything that has happened to him as a result of “Tiger King” is on his own initiative. She claims that her team obtained extensive video evidence of animal abuse from Jeff, and she is showing it on her new Discovery + show, “Carole Baskin’s Cage Fight”.
Appropriate title, because Carole will fight – at least in court – on several fronts.
