Cardi B says she wanted to kill herself after seeing the alleged lies posted by a blogger who is now on trial in federal court.
Cardi’s lawsuit against the blogger, Tasha K, is currently on trial in a federal courtroom in Georgia, and on Thursday morning, Cardi spoke. She told the jury: “I wanted to kill myself because of things” Tasha was saying about her.
Tasha made several video posts in 2018 and 2019 on Cardi, claiming she had been a prostitute and contracted multiple STIs … among other things, which prompted Cardi to take legal action. As we reported, Tasha did not take it well when she was served with the papers.
In court, Cardi also testified … “I felt defeated and depressed and didn’t want to sleep with my husband.” It all fell apart soon after Gap and Cardi welcomed their first child, Culture … and Cardi told the court that she felt like “I didn’t deserve my child.”
Cardi’s attorney asked her what she thought of Tasha after seeing the messages, and she said… “I felt like only a demon could do this.” The rapper actually apologized to the judge for swearing after that statement.
She eventually burst into tears after repeating the ordeal made her suicidal.
Cardi is still on the stand and could be cross-examined by Tasha’s lawyer later Thursday.
Developing story …
