Car Hits Cyclist During Crazy Dodgers Celebration, Fires, Looting, Cops and More
7:33 a.m. PT – LAPD officials tell us … a total of 8 people were arrested on Tuesday evening.
1 person was arrested for assaulting an officer with a lethal weapon, 4 for looting and 3 for reckless driving.
Additionally, 3 officers suffered minor injuries during the madness – but they should all be fine.
Crazy pilot who celebrated the Dodgers Championship by making donuts on the streets of LA hit a cyclist during burnout … then ran away.
It’s a wild – and scary – video you can see the car do a fishtail and try to regain control of the vehicle once it’s done turning … only for the driver to hit it straight into a unsuspecting man crossing the street.
The victim is thrown into the air and falls over the roof of the car as she races down the street.
Miraculously, the man appears and limps on the sidewalk where worried witnesses have treated him.
The extent of his injuries is unclear. I hope he is well. No word if the cops have a license plate for the car involved.
The incident was just one of the crazy moments after the Dodgers won – a group of people flooded downtown LA to celebrate by setting off fireworks, singing … and yes , no more cars making donuts on the street.
Cops say a dozen people were arrested Tuesday night. There was looting at a Foot Locker on the 7th and on Broadway, which ended with cops arresting two suspects.
Not everyone was violent – there are videos of LA fans singing Kobe bryantits name in homage to the legend of the Lakers.
Other fans set off fireworks and partied in the streets all night long. Clearly, there is concern about a COVID outbreak due to close contact and several fans not wearing masks.
But on Tuesday night, most of the celebrants didn’t appear to be concerned about their own health and safety.
