California ‘Trump Store’ Allegedly Collecting Ballots, Undercover Video Shows
Here’s a GOP campaign HQ in California, which also serves as Asset merchandise store, ET allegedly collected ballots – a state violation – according to this secret video.
The video was shot in Newport Beach and shows employees of the “Trump Store” offering to retrieve a voter’s ballot and put it in their safe. The images were filed with a complaint filed with the Orange County Registrar of Electors.
Vice got the video which briefly shows the inside of the store full of Trump merchandise, before the target is covered … but you can clearly hear the conversation about collecting the ballots. An employee, or a volunteer, says “it’s very safe” to cast a ballot there.
California Secretary of State Alex Padilla and attorney general Xavier Becerra triggered a cease and desist in the California GOP over its use of the ballot box. The person who lodged the complaint said the video was shot after this stop and abstention.
The GOP defended itself by using ballot boxes, claiming they are legal under the state’s ballot collection law.
