Bulletproof Vests in High Demand at Black-Owned Company
Body armor sales are skyrocketing for a black-owned company that says people are looking for increased protection in these turbulent times.
A spokesperson for the bulletproof vests company, Thyk Skynn, told TMZ … that sales have increased by almost 400% in the last few months and this week – following the Jacob blake shootout and ensuing violence – orders soar again.
The company was founded by a former Atlanta cop who says he started the business for innocent people seeking protection.
Vests are different from traditional Kevlar vests … they are more fashionable for beginners.
The function, however, is the same … Thyk Skynn’s vests are intended to prevent his clients from becoming the next victim of a senseless shootout … whether by a cop or a citizen with a sick gun fantasy.
As you know … protests against racism and promote social justice came to a head this summer after the murder of George floyd, and the movement was reinvigorated after a white Kenosha, a WI cop shot blake in the back 7 times.
Protests and riots in the days that followed turned fatal when a 17-year-old white man named Kyle Rittenhouse opened fire on demonstrators and killed 2 while hurting another.
