BTS is NOT on a break, despite how the band members have made it out to be…the band’s management team says the description of “break” was a simple mistranslation.
While the K-Pop singers will still pursue some solo projects, the Korean representation of the group claims that the super popular group is not breaking up.
BTS caused an uproar on Tuesday when the group members released a video in Korean discussing the future of the group, with the translation of the English subtitles indicating that they were taking a “break”.
HYBE, the music company that represents BTS, reportedly lost $1.7 billion in market value during early Wednesday morning stock trading…and now they’re backtracking on the “pause” comment.
Representatives for the group released a statement, saying…”To be clear, they are not on hiatus but will be taking some time off to explore some solo projects at this time and remain active in various formats.”
BTS singer Jungkook also promised that the group will continue filming their web series “Run BTS” and reunite to make music in the future after working on their solo career.
