Brian Austin Green Pays Off Teacher’s Amazon Wish List
Brian Austin Green leads by example when it comes to truly appreciating teachers … because he put his money where it is.
The “90210” star made the life of a preschool teacher in Collingswood, NJ much easier when he rummaged in his own pocket and paid for his Amazon wishlist of school supplies, and the awesome gesture couldn’t come sooner with the children who then start the lessons during the week.
The preschool teacher, Amy hoffman, tells TMZ … a few days ago, she was watching Brian’s first Instagram Live show which lasted almost 40 minutes. But, in the last 6 minutes or so, Brian has been talking about his kids and how they deal with virtual learning. He underlined, more than ever, the important role that teachers play in our daily life.
And, with that in mind, Hoffman – who normally has around 15 kids in her class – says she’s decided to tag BAG on social media and direct him to his wishlist. And, get this … Hoffman says that same day Brian paid for his list, which came out at just under $ 500.
Hoffman tells us that with the COVID-19 pandemic, teachers are in desperate need of more school supplies because, unlike normal times, children cannot and should not share supplies.
Hoffman tells us that she typically has a school supplies budget of around $ 250 … but teachers, on the right days, still have to pay out of pocket expenses to cover what they need. But, in the midst of the pandemic, teachers need individual tool kits more than ever before – pencils, markers, paper, etc. – for each pupil in order to avoid the potential spread of the virus.
We are told that supplies started pouring in shortly after BAG covered the costs.
There are tons of teachers who need the same kind of help. And, just like Hoffman, a teacher from Illinois tried a similar approach … but she hit the Amazon chief, Jeff Bezos.
It is not known if Bezos, the world’s first $ 200 billion man, was successful. Maybe she should just hit Brian.
