President TrumpThe latest guest on this golf course is someone many people probably didn’t expect to see … Brett Favre, who recently expressed his admiration for Colin Kaepernick.
The former QB and 45 hit ties on Saturday and even posed for a photo together which the White House later threw up online. They are both in golf gear and seem quite buddy standing next to each other, DT showing thumbs up and Brett with his arm on Prez’s back.
Until now, we haven’t heard much from BF about his political leanings, especially when it comes to Trump. It’s not that playing golf with the guy doesn’t indicate anything either, other than the fact that they’re friendly. Still, while it’s interesting – especially when you bring Kap into the equation.
Remember, Brett told TMZ Sports he was considering Kaepernick in the same vein as Pat Tillman – the former NFL player who enlisted in the military in the 2000s and later died in war … a hero, in other words. Brett seemed to compare Kap to Pat.
He then clarified his comments, saying they weren’t completely alike – obviously Pat had made the ultimate sacrifice of his life – but he noted that they both sidelined their football careers. for a cause greater than themselves. Still, the feeling was more or less the same.
With that in mind, you must be wondering if CK was brought up on this outing. Of course, Trump vocally criticized Kaepernick in the past, as well as all the other players who have taken a knee during the national anthem – but he hasn’t been so shot down on the guy these days.
In fact, Trump said that Kap probably should have a second chance in the league … if he deserves it. If that is where he is now on the matter – perhaps the subject was not as polarizing as you might think.
