Breonna Taylorthe mother tells TMZ Sports … she is VERY aware of the NBA and WNBA stars who are constantly keeping the spotlight on her daughter’s murder – and she’s hoping it will finally lead to justice.
“Everyone who raises their voice for justice is what keeps this family alive every day”, Tamika palmer tell us.
“What the NBA and WNBA are doing is amazing. Now it’s time for the Attorney General to listen, charge everyone responsible for Bree’s murder, and get justice late.”
“Bree should be with us. The world was a better place for her.
Tamika specifically refers to professional players like James Lebron, Russell westbrook, Tobias Harris, Dwight Howard, Kyrie Irving and others who have spoken out publicly to pressure the Kentucky Attorney General Daniel cameron to indict the police who shot and killed Breonna in March during the execution of an arrest warrant.
In the WNBA, the entire league wears warm-up shirts with Breonna’s name as a tribute.
And, get this … Tamika was also involved in a zoom call this weekend with more than 30 NBA players, according to the family lawyer. Lonita Baker … which tells us that they all explained how to keep using their platform to get results.
We are told Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony were just 2 of the players on the call – and at one point CP3 discussed how the players were considering not playing this season to stay focused on social justice issues.
Baker tells us that Breonna’s family are moved by all the support and action – but also realizes that the real fight for justice is much bigger than Breonna.
