Brad Pitt Denies Contacting Woman Suing Him for Possible Catfish Situation
Brad Pitt says he doesn’t know the woman suing him for allegedly taking thousands of dollars to show up at charity events, and it looks like she could have been duped by a fake Brad.
Pitt was chased by Kelli Christina, a woman from Texas who claims Brad contacted her a few years ago to help raise funds for her Make It Right Foundation … which is rebuilding New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward since the hurricane Katrina.
Christina claims to have established a working relationship with the actor, agreed to help his charity … and even had a personal relationship that included “marriage talks”.
Yeah, the wedding part sounds like a giant warning sign that she wasn’t really dealing with Brad. In fact, he denies ever having had contact with Kelli or having communicated with her in any way. Also, in his legal response to his trial … he says he never asked her for payment, nor authorized anyone to do so on his behalf.
According to Kelli’s trial, first published by DailyMail … she sent Pitt $ 40,000 over a 2 year period with the agreement that he would show up at fundraising events, but he failed to make it to any of them.
She says once she stopped sending payments, Brad cut off contact and it was impossible to reach him or get it right. She sues him for breach of contract and fraud to get his money back … plus additional damages.
Again, Pitt says he never had any connection or knowledge of Kelli … that is, until his lawyer received a “formal notice” from her in March. 2020. He says his legal team informed her that she was wrong … but she sued anyway.
