Bill Cosby weighed on the drama on his former partner, Phylicia rashad, and his new bosses at Howard University … agreeing that if they can, they have to pay him back.
Newly released Cosby tweeted about the fallout from Phylicia’s controversial comments last week – in which she ecstatically celebrated the overturning of Bill’s conviction, calling it “justice” – and he did. by simply accepting another person’s point of view on the point.
Singer / actress Stephanie Mills actually shared her thoughts, writing … “I love you @phyliciarashad ❤️❤️❤️. While it is true that Howard University wants to end her post because she feels her Comments on Mr Cosby were callous, so they should get back the millions of dollars he gave to the college.
Cosby responded to this simply by writing … “Thank you @iamstephaniemills, your voice has always been powerful!” So in other words, he seems to be entirely in his corner on this.
A quick note … it’s not entirely clear how much, if any, Cosby’s dough gave Howard – there don’t appear to be any hard numbers on a donation. That doesn’t mean he didn’t participate – and we know he was generous when he donated to HBCUs.
He donated $ 20 million to Spelman College in 1998 – he also holds an honorary degree from Howard. So it’s not out of the realm of possibility that it has already filled their pockets.
The funny thing about Bill rushing to Phylicia’s defense here… we’re pretty sure she doesn’t want it – at least not publicly anyway. She quietly put this matter to bed last week… by deleting her “FINALLY” tweet, and even apologize to Howard Student Body.
So BC reopening the itch like that probably isn’t doing him a favor. On the contrary, she probably doesn’t want Bill and Howard’s name mentioned in the same sentence around her at all. BTW … it doesn’t look like Howard will be firing PR … they berated her and that’s all.
Our sincere thanks to
