Biden Campaign Recruits Battle Rappers to Hash Out Pros/Cons of Voting
Joe biden has just found a unique new way to reach a group of voters who may not be running their typical commercials – turning to hip-hop and rap to get their point across.
Biden-Harris campaign just posted new political spot featuring battle rappers from New York Charlie clips and DNA – who are incredibly well known and respected in their profession. Sure enough, both men used their gossip and rhyme skills to analyze the pros and cons of voting … and to convey what Joe and Kamala say they can do for African Americans.
Charlie is the one who is disillusioned … taking on the role of the closing voter who is unhappy with this year’s picks for president – like many Americans. DNA is on the other side of things, laying out, in sometimes excruciating detail, why he thinks Joe is the best option.
They touched on several topical issues – black business ownership, HBCU funding and police reform. We’ll say this … the ad is innovative – not to mention incredibly well written when it comes to bars. However, he also runs the risk of being seen as pimping … depending on how people take him.
One thing is clear … the campaign is trying all kinds of outreach on social media – collabs with The rock and J. Lo – to reach voters before November 3.
