Ben simmons‘time in Philadelphia is up … at least that’s what Austin Rivers really believes, saying TMZ Sports he never sees the three-time All-Star dressing for the 76ers again.
Of course, the father of the Denver Nuggets goaltender, Doc, tried to mend Ben’s relationship with the Sixers organization. For months now … but BS has yet to play a hoop minute for Philly this season.
And when we asked Austin about the situation, he said he would never see Simmons playing for the Sixers again.
“No, probably not. I don’t think so,” Rivers replied. “If he hasn’t adjusted now, then I don’t think so.”
Austin says his father and the team did everything in their power to hold the 25-year-old … despite Simmons’ desire to be traded.
“P ***, they tried, my brother,” he said. “Look how long it’s been. I think they tried to keep him. He obviously wants to go somewhere else.”
Rivers ultimately wishes BS saying … “I just want the youngster to be happy. He’s talented. He’s a great player.”
As we reported earlier, Doc told us he would like to have BS back with the Sixers. But so much happened then… and without either side moving, it certainly looks like Austin.
BTW – Austin recently got engaged … so we asked him who would be the dream artist he would like to see at his wedding … and he has some big names on his mind.
