Anti-Masker in Orange County Tries Serving Store with Fake DOJ Document
An anti-masker with an attitude refused to leave a grocery store in Orange County, Calif., Saying she was determined to serve the store manager with a fake Department of Justice document, accusing the store of violating the law by requiring masks.
The woman clearly doesn’t understand that she is not “serving” a document … rather, she pushes a fake flyer and other documents that she claims are from the DOJ.
The Department of Justice has issued several warnings about these false documents – some bearing the DOJ emblem – which claim to say that people with disabilities do not have to wear masks.
The point is that the courts have not ruled strongly on whether people with disabilities can enter private stores without a mask. Under normal circumstances they may have a case, but given that the coronavirus is not leaving anyone behind, it seems likely that a court will rule in favor of public safety.
These fake DOJ cards are circulating on the Internet and various people have tried to use them to access private businesses without wearing a mask. For the most part, store owners don’t buy it.
