Anne Heche died of smoke inhalation and thermal injuries … which she evidently suffered when her car drove through a woman’s house in Mar Vista a few weeks ago … this according to the coroner of the LA County.
The coroner notes that another major contributing factor to his death was a fractured sternum due to blunt trauma. This basically means that part of her chest was crushed in the accident… which left her in a coma for the rest of her life.
Anne’s death was listed as accidental.
As we reported… Anne was declared brain dead last week, who is considered legally dead in California. His body was kept on life support for a while longer so doctors could properly harvest his organs and find donors, whom they finally did.
The day of the car crash was well documented by bystanders and security footage – much of which showed Anne flying through the residential area at incredibly high speeds and almost hit people along the way. She hit a garage and a car before to plow in a house.
As she was carried on a stretcher in an ambulance, she came briefly but then lost consciousness.
