All S’poreans Can Now Book COVID-19 Vaccination Slots From June 2021

The Ministry of Health announced today (April 5) that those under 45 will soon be able to reserve their vaccination slots. This means that the Covid-19 vaccination will now be available to all Singaporeans over the age of 16.

“Based on the current schedule, we plan to start inviting them in June to reserve their time slots,” Senior Minister of State for Health Janil Puthucheary Parliament said.

If vaccine supplies continue to arrive on schedule, there will be enough for all Singaporeans and long-term residents by the third quarter of this year, Health Minister Gan Kim Yong said.

By mid-April, there will be a total of 40 vaccination centers across the island. There are currently 31 vaccination centers.

As of April 3, approximately 1.52 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine had been administered in Singapore. About 1.05 million people have received at least one dose of the vaccine. More than 468,000 people have completed the full vaccination and received their second dose.

Previously, citizens and residents aged 45 to 59 were invited to register for their vaccinations. Almost 500,000 people, or about half, have done so.

After registering on the site, Singaporeans and long-term residents will receive an SMS with a personalized URL allowing them to book their immunization appointments online.

Letters will not be sent to them because they are more familiar with the use of digital technology, the health ministry said.

“We will send SMS to registrants as soon as there are vacant slots available for booking. This should happen within a few days of check-in, but we try to ensure that everyone understands that the timing may vary and that it may take longer, particularly if there is a delay in the timing of the check-in. delivery of vaccines, ”added the Ministry of Health.
