76ers Star Tobias Harris Hits Head Against Court Floor, Returns to Game
12:31 p.m. PT – Lordy, Tobias Harris is back in the game !!! The 76ers say he showed no signs of a concussion, so they fixed his cut and sent the dude back to battle.
Tobias Harris took a frightening fall on the basketball court that could have seriously injured the guy, or maybe even killed him – but luckily he looks like he’s fine.
The 76ers star was playing in Sunday’s game against the Boston Celtics, when at some point at the end of the third quarter, he came up for a defensive rebound … but had his legs chopped off. Jayson tatum in the air, which tilted its body and landed it headfirst.
You could see he was in excruciating pain as he writhed on the floor and couldn’t get up at first. The referees stopped the game and medical staff from Philly rushed to the field to assess it. It appeared that they had also reported trauma, which meant it was serious.
It also appears that there was splattered blood on the floor, which the medical team was quick to wipe off as well.
The good news is that Tobias was able to get up and leave the field on his own. He reportedly suffered a laceration to his left eye and was being assessed for a concussion in the locker room.
It could have been a lot worse … thank goodness it wasn’t.
